Phantom Blade Zero PC Performance & System Requirements

Official PC System Requirements

S-GAME published four PC tiers on August 12, 2026, and the Steam page repeats the minimum and recommended tiers. Every tier targets its frame rate with upscaling enabled, requires 64-bit Windows 10/11 and an SSD.

Install Size and Pre-load Space

The developer's update, reported by PC Gamer, puts the PC install at 145 GB but asks for at least 300 GB of free space during the pre-load process, which opened on October 26. An SSD is required, and S-GAME recommends updating GPU drivers before launch.

On PS5, PSU.com reports a 134.857 GB download based on PlayStation Store backend data. That figure is not an official S-GAME number.

How It Runs on PC, According to Reviews

DSOGaming's PC analysis calls it a smooth Unreal Engine 5 game: a lengthy shader pre-compilation runs on first boot, there were no major stutters in its testing, all major upscalers are supported, and path tracing works with Ray Reconstruction.

Review coverage compiled by Output Lag cites roughly 100 FPS at 4K on high settings with DLSS Quality on an RTX 4080. IGN's review flags one map with a poor frame rate plus some geometry snags and invisible walls.

Steam Deck

Steam Deck HQ's review reports that the game never holds 30 FPS on the Deck. Output Lag's roundup cites 23–27 FPS in the Crimson Forest area with dips close to 10 FPS, and around 2 to 2.5 hours of battery life.

Valve's Deck compatibility badge can change after launch patches, so check the badge on the Steam store page before buying for handheld play.

PS5 and PS5 Pro Modes

PlayStation lists the PS5 version as PS5 Pro Enhanced. Output Lag's roundup says base PS5 Performance mode mostly holds 60 FPS, with drops in the rainy Pangzhen region, and that PS5 Pro offers three modes.

TechRadar's PS5 Pro review describes Balanced as 40 FPS with dynamic 4K and ray tracing. Every console mode, the download size and DualSense features are collected on the PS5 page.

Not Confirmed Yet

Day-one patch notes and official console frame-rate targets have not been published by S-GAME yet. Benchmarks above come from review builds and may change with launch patches.
